WILLIAM R. HACKETT APPOINTED
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER OF SCANIS, INC.

 

FOSTER CITY, Calif., May 16, 2008 SCANIS, Inc. an image analysis software company has named William R. Hackett, President as Chief Executive Officer. "This appointment continues to strengthen SCANIS' management as the company moves forward," said Robert Chapman, speaking for the SCANIS Board of Directors. "Bill Hackett brings a wealth of experience and capability to SCANIS at a time the Company is expanding its operations," he said. In addition to a recent successful track record of building entrepreneurial companies, Mr. Hackett was in various positions for 20 years at General Electric. He will be driving SCANIS' growth strategy particularly the MAMMEXª. That product is intended to help radiologists improve the accuracy of evaluating mammograms in the battle against breast cancer. It is also available for mammography research and education. The technology identifies suspicious abnormalities and displays them on a video monitor with printout capabilities for comparison with a radiologist's reading of a mammogram film.
